Made it Through September

Well, I made it through the month of September! That’s reason enough for me to celebrate. I have not been back to my job, but I’m not totally disappointed. I hated my job and I’ve been able to spend my time off learning new things and exploring some new career options. Just last week I completed an online tax course and passed it with a 94%. I was so excited, especially considering the difficulties I’ve had with college the past two years. With the all the spare time I’ve had I have been able to do a lot of soul searching and I’m making progress towards accomplishing my writing and my financial goals.

Last month I published two reviews on Epinions.com and this month my goal is to publish three more. My earnings there were a little over $6 for the five reviews I have published. Now I’m at $7.34. Most of my reviews have been about books and movies, but the one that has made me the most money is about an Azo product, so I’m guessing I’ll need to publish more reviews about health and beauty products in the future to bump up my earnings.

I also have an account with List My Five, which I opened sometime last year. I never published anything there, but I decided to give it a shot and see what happens. They operate in an income share structure, too, so whatever I publish there will have the potential to earn me money forever as long as the site is up. So far, I’ve published two articles, but I haven’t earned anything yet. My goal is to publish one a day until the end of this month and hopefully cross the $10 payment threshold and get paid next month.

I’ve been filling up my calendar with mystery shops and plan on collecting the money that I’ve earned so far next month. I’ll write a little more about how the payment schedules with most mystery shopping companies work in the near future. This past Thursday I completed five shops and earned $99.18 for about five hours worth of work. I spent about three and a half hours performing shops, an hour worth of paperwork and $15.18 on gas and mystery shop purchases. A profit of $84 from five hours of work doesn’t seem too bad to me. It’s more than what I would have made spending eight hours at work.

I’m making pretty good progress so far and I intend to make more. It is very possible to make a full-time income online and that’s what I’m going for.

About Me

LeTara Moore Since 2005 I have made thousands of dollars online. I've tried almost everything from paid surveys, paid to click, freelance writing, mystery shopping, merchandising and more. I am always looking for new ways to make money. Now I'm a mother and I have even more reason to go further in my online adventures. The focus of this site is not only to show some of the easier ways to make a little extra cash, but also to journal some of the ups and downs of side-hustling and attempting to work for myself. Most of what I post probably won't make you rich, but it will be something to help ease some of the financial strain and won't take too much time. I love to read and write and I also run a blog that showcases my creative writing. I really enjoy learning and I find the best way for me to learn is to share what I've gained with others. DISCLAIMER: Many of the links I post are affiliate links, meaning I may receive financial compensation as a result of click-thrus and signups. However, I only post links to websites and programs I trust and I provide honest feedback. I only post my honest experiences with any site I promote.
