Moving on Up

Posted by Tara MeShale on Friday, October 12, 2012 Under: Work from Home
I’ve really been enjoying my time off from work since I recovered from being sick about two weeks ago. I think my illness was brought on by stress, so now I’m a lot more relaxed than what I was, so I’ve been able to enjoy this fall weather. I’ve read several books. I intend to spend more time working on my own book. I don’t know if I can finish it by Nov. 1 like I had planned, but I think I’ll put a dent in it. It’s all coming together.

My calendar hasn’t been as full with mystery shop assignments as I had hoped, mainly because I haven’t had much gas money to get around, but the quality of shops that I’ve had make up for the quantity. Just yesterday I completed my first assignment with WeGoLook. The assignment was actually an inspection, but nothing too intrusive. I went to a building located a few minutes away from where I live and took a few pictures and came home to submit the paperwork. Altogether it took less than an hour and I am expect a payment of $30 in about 2-3 weeks. I have another assignment today that pays $25. That’s pretty cool. I’ve been making sure to take shops that pay at least $10 these past couple of weeks. After receiving my check from Market Force this past week, I’ve finally crossed the $500 mark in mystery shopping earnings. I’m so excited! I only have a few more unemployment checks left before it runs out, so I’ve got to make something work out soon. For the month of October I’ve earned around $150 from the few shops that I’ve done so far. I’m hoping to double it by the end of the month. Hopefully, I’ll have everything organized well enough to live on my mystery shopping earnings alone. It started off as a bit of an experiment to see if I could make a little extra money since, at the time, I was in between jobs. I have a feeling that I won’t get called back to my job anytime soon, so this has to work. I’ve been searching for jobs for a couple of months now and nothing has come through. I just passed an income tax course a few weeks ago and now I’m working towards becoming a certified tax professional by the end of November. Pray for me ya’ll!

I’ve written about four articles for List My Five so far and I haven’t earned anything on them yet. I’m going to keep writing and see what happens!

Here’s my articles if you want to check them out:

About Me

LeTara Moore Since 2005 I have made thousands of dollars online. I've tried almost everything from paid surveys, paid to click, freelance writing, mystery shopping, merchandising and more. I am always looking for new ways to make money. Now I'm a mother and I have even more reason to go further in my online adventures. The focus of this site is not only to show some of the easier ways to make a little extra cash, but also to journal some of the ups and downs of side-hustling and attempting to work for myself. Most of what I post probably won't make you rich, but it will be something to help ease some of the financial strain and won't take too much time. I love to read and write and I also run a blog that showcases my creative writing. I really enjoy learning and I find the best way for me to learn is to share what I've gained with others. DISCLAIMER: Many of the links I post are affiliate links, meaning I may receive financial compensation as a result of click-thrus and signups. However, I only post links to websites and programs I trust and I provide honest feedback. I only post my honest experiences with any site I promote.
