Back Again

The funniest thing happened. Yesterday I attempted to log into my blog reallifebusiness.weebly.com and saw that I had been deleted. Apparently, I had violated their terms of service by putting too many ads on my site. The thing is, I had just put up a post this past Thursday about a survey company and included a referral link to the survey for anyone interested in signing up. I only make posts like that once every couple of months. There were a few small badges and banners for other sites that I’m a member of, but I try to keep the advertisements to a limit so I don’t clutter up my blog with ads and have little or no content to support it. Something else I found funny was that this came a week after I made a post about my mishap with Google Adsense and copied and pasted my email communications with Google. I guess Weebly didn’t like that. It kind of hurt my feelings a little because I had that blog since 2008 and now everything I put on it is gone. I’m looking at it as a positive, though and I’m taking the opportunity to make a fresh start. A totally new blog that hopefully won’t get deleted, and a more common sense approach to putting my content on the internet. For instance, typing all of my blog posts and articles in Word Processor and saving it to at least to different places first, then posting my work online.
To give a brief overview of both myself and this blog, I’ll share a little bit about myself and what I’m attempting to do. Firstly, I will be very transparent in saying that I hope to earn a little bit of money with this blog. However, I love to write. Writing is very therapeutic for me and I’ll be starting another blog in a few short weeks. As I learn things I like to share what I’ve learned because I found that sharing what I know with others helps me to remember things much better than if I kept them to myself. With Real Life Business, I intend to share what I know and what I am learning about making money online and being self-employed. I’ve always had a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit and have never enjoyed having a manager standing over my shoulder constantly scrutinizing or taking advantage of my skills. So, while I do have a steady part-time job, I also do several things on the side in hopes of increasing my income, paying off debt and saving some money for both myself and my little one on the way. I am currently a student in college with a major in Spanish and a minor in Sociology and I am hoping to become a Spanish tutor once I graduate. I do not want to be a slave to my job. I want to actually enjoy the work that I do. For extra money I take surveys online, I do retail merchandising from time to time, I write articles for various websites and clients and I have recently become a very active mystery shopper. It is very possible to make a decent secondary, or even primary income, from home and my goal with this blog is to share with you tips on how to do just that. So, while one blog and one advertising program shut me down, there is one thing that stands true: You can’t keep a good woman down.
